Saints, before the altar bending, watching long in hope and fear. Suddenly the Lord, descending, in His temple shall appear. Come and worship. Come and worship. Worship Christ, the newborn King.

These verses of Angels From the Realms of Glory are rarely sung and often left out of hymnals. This Christmas hymn places humanity in a posture of confession and repentance - finding that the good news of Jesus’ birth will mean that “Justice now revokes the sentence, mercy calls you - break your chains!”
